Ambra Brigazzi is an Italian visual artist based in Germany, working across painting, drawing, objects, and installation.

She studied Textile and Surface Design at the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin, where she was appointed Meisterschüler by Professor Tristan Pranyko.

Materiality plays a central role in her practice. Her process-oriented approach engages with raw, unprimed canvas, oil pastel, textiles, and industrial materials, drawn to their physical properties and inherent qualities. Through painting, layering, stitching, and reworking, she transforms their surfaces and structures while retaining traces of time, memory, and use. The embedded histories of the materials remain visible, continuing to shape the work.

Rooted in both personal experience and broader social realities, her works explore how memory, identity, and transformation are shaped through individual and collective experience.

Brigazzi’s work has been presented in group exhibitions across Germany, as well as in a solo exhibition at the Church of Dannenwalde, Brandenburg.
